FAQs

My kids and I want to participate. What do I need to know?

This is definitely a family event for people of all ages!  Children 14 years of age and younger must also be accompanied by a participating adult. Baby strollers, baby carriers, and wheelchairs are allowed on the walking route, but for safety reasons no roller blades, roller skates, scooters, bicycles, or skateboards will be allowed.

How do we register?

You can register in person the day of the event; however, we strongly encourage you and your family to register online through the link at the top of the page.

Will there be food available?
We will have healthy snacks and drinks in the morning, as well as water stations along the walk route.

Can we bring our pet to the event?
Unfortunately, no. Only registered service animals are allowed at the event and, as a courtesy to others, we ask that you pick up after your service pet along the walk route and at the event site.

What if it rains the day of the event?
Pack your puddle boots, rain jackets and umbrellas…the walk will take place rain or shine; however, in the event of a severe storm, we will cancel the event. Please check the Educare website or Facebook page for updated information the day of the walk.

Is this a timed event?
No. This is not a race; whether you choose to walk, run, skip or hop, you will not be timed.
